Reflection

I have selected my Frog Webquest. This selection demonstrates my competency in Professional Standards for Teachers Standards Delivers Effective Instruction. The Webquest was created as part of Internet for Educators.

This assignment was part of the work I did while taking Internet for Educators online through Framingham State College taught by Mary Ellen DuBois. The assignment was to create a Webquest on a subject and grade level of your choice. The topic had to be aligned with the standards and created in a developmentally appropriate manner. While creating the Webquest the biggest challenge was to find website which first graders could read and understand.

In the world of education today technology is becoming a hot topic. As a teaching professional it is your job to keep up with the new methods of teaching. My Webquest demonstrates my ability to learn about new teaching methods and how to implement them. I am commitment to keeping up with changes and developments in the teaching field and instruction. The learning that a teacher does never stops and it is the teachers responsibility to stay current in the field and find new and effective ways of delivering effective instruction.

In the future I plan to continue taking technology classes. I hope to been able to integrate technology into the Early Elementary curriculum in a developmentally appropriate manner. I hope to help other teachers in my school systems to do the same. I also hope to inspire the system in which I work to offer more professional development opportunities on integrating technology as well as offering more support to teacher who are doing so.
